Equipment & brands

Quality equipment chosen for performance, reliability, and support.

At SolVerra Energy, we focus on using proven, high-quality components from trusted manufacturers. We select panels, inverters, and racking systems based on real-world performance, warranties, and long-term support — not just what’s cheapest today.

Brand availability can change over time. We’ll always confirm the exact equipment proposed for your project in your custom quote.

Panel brands we work with.

We primarily use high-efficiency monocrystalline modules from established manufacturers. For each project, we select panels that make sense for your roof layout, budget, and long-term goals.

Residential & small commercial

High-efficiency panels for homes and businesses

For residential and light commercial projects, we typically choose panels that balance efficiency, appearance, and warranty strength.

  • Monocrystalline, low-degradation modules
  • Modern black-frame or all-black aesthetic (where available)
  • 25-year (or similar) performance warranties from the manufacturer
  • Strong track record in North American and global markets

Examples of panel manufacturers we work with include:

Qcells
Canadian Solar
REC
LONGi
Larger systems

Panels for commercial & utility-scale arrays

For larger rooftop and ground-mount systems, we use modules designed for utility or commercial applications, with:

  • Higher wattage per module for efficient use of space
  • Bankable manufacturers with established track records
  • Certifications for demanding environments and long lifetimes

Depending on project requirements and availability, we may also source modules from other Tier 1 manufacturers with similar quality standards.

Inverter platforms we trust.

The inverter is the heart and brain of your solar system. We work with major inverter platforms for residential, commercial, and utility projects, and choose the right technology for each site.

Homes & small sites

String inverters & module-level options

For most homes, we use high-quality string inverters and, where appropriate, DC optimizers or microinverters to:

  • Handle shade and complex roof layouts
  • Provide module-level monitoring (where available)
  • Offer solid warranties and straightforward service support

Common brands we work with for residential projects include:

SolarEdge
Enphase
SMA
Fronius
Commercial & utility

Large string and central inverters

On larger systems, we work with industry-standard large string and central inverter platforms that are designed for:

  • High uptime and grid-code compliance
  • SCADA / DAS integration and performance monitoring
  • Efficient O&M with clear diagnostic tools

Depending on project location and specifications, we work with established utility-scale platforms from leading global manufacturers.

Monitoring

Monitoring & communication

We configure inverter and monitoring platforms so that:

  • Homeowners can see daily production online or via app
  • Commercial/utility owners receive the data they need
  • Alerts and alarms can be traced and addressed efficiently

Monitoring is typically provided through inverter manufacturer portals, third-party DAS providers, or owner-specified SCADA systems.

Racking systems that protect your roof and structure.

We select racking systems that are tested, engineered, and approved for your roof type or foundation conditions. Our goal is to mount panels securely, protect your roof, and withstand local weather.

Residential rooftops

Roof-mounted racking

For pitched and flat residential roofs, we use racking systems designed to:

  • Attach securely while protecting roofing materials
  • Manage water shedding and flashed penetrations correctly
  • Meet local wind, snow, and structural requirements

Examples of racking manufacturers we may use on residential and light commercial projects include:

IronRidge
Unirac
K2 Systems
Ground-mount & carport

Ground-mount and canopy structures

For ground-mounts, carports, and small canopies, we work with engineered racking solutions that:

  • Provide stable foundations and alignments
  • Allow efficient cable management and access
  • Are designed for long-term exterior exposure
Utility-scale

Fixed-tilt & tracking systems

On utility-scale projects, we integrate with fixed-tilt or single-axis tracking systems specified by the EPC or owner. Our role is to:

  • Install and wire according to manufacturer requirements
  • Support tracker commissioning where applicable
  • Coordinate with structural and civil teams as needed

Common utility-scale tracking and racking providers include established names such as Array Technologies and similar manufacturers, depending on project specs.

How we select equipment for your project.

Rather than pushing one “favorite” brand, we maintain a short list of trusted manufacturers in each category and match them to the specific needs of your project.

Selection criteria

For each major component, we look at:

  • Warranty length and coverage details
  • Proven performance in the field and climate conditions
  • Support and parts availability in our service area
  • Compatibility with monitoring, batteries, and future upgrades
